GSA Summer Leadership Training—Available NOW!!
Mar 14, 2008
GLSEN Washington State and Washington GSA Network summer leadership training will be August 4 & 5 at the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Cle Elum, Washington!
We are looking for local GSA leaders to take part of our summer leadership training! If you get selected to be a part of our state leadership team you'll work with other GSA leaders from all over the state!
The Washington State GSA Network Leadership Team is a youth-led group that will work together to build bridges between GSA clubs and other community groups throughout Washington State. During this leadership training, students will develop leadership skills and help to build peer support through programs, workshops, and trainings.
The Washington State GSA Network has 10 unique regions. The goal is to have GSA leaders from EACH region represented at our summer leadership training. With the state broken up into regions, established GSA groups can help each other become stronger and help those GSA groups that have just started or are emerging.
These students will take active roles in their communities and will be available for trainings, assisting with the launch of new GSA groups, assisting established GSA groups, and help plan and participating in community and regional events. The youth selected will also work with each other! Each region in the state is different, which reflects the diverse communities from which we are from.
Make a difference in your school or community, work with outstanding adults and youth from around the state, and learn leadership skills!
If you are interested in participating in this summer leadership training contact our Education/Training Director by emailing joe@glsenwa.org.
Download application to the right and mail or fax in to our office by July 1st!
