Trevor Suicide Hotline The Trevor Project is a nonprofit endeavor created by the makers of TREVOR to promote tolerance for gay and questioning youth, and to aid in suicide prevention among that group.

Citizens for Equal ProtectionCitizens for Equal Protection is Nebraska’s only civil rights organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered individuals. They strive to sponsor legislataion in the Unicameral.

PFLAG-OmahaParents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays Just like GLSEN, PFLAG has affiliate chapters throughout the country. This is the local chapter.

Proud Horizons – PFLAG Omaha sponsors Proud Horizons, a a youth group specifically for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allies. If you want to talk about coming out to family, or school-mates, or you are trying to decide how you feel about your sexuality, this is the place for you.

National Day of Silence National Day of Silence For too long, the silencing of LGBT people and their allies has been the norm. Whether it's the lack of LGBT-inclusive material in educational resources, or role assignments based upon our assumed gender, such silence and silencing affects us all in a profound way.

National Education Association Gay and Lesbian Caucus – The NEA-GLC , in order to eliminate institutional discrimination and homophobia, monitors and participates in teh development of NEA policies and activities, provides resources and fosters better communication among educators, students and communities. Rainbow Outreach GLBT Center – Omaha’s very own Rainbow Outreach GLBT Center is an outstanding source of information on activities in the community.

University of Nebraska - Lincoln – Has various groups and programs of interest:

*Spectrum is a student organization.

*UNL GLBTA Programs & Services Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Programs and Services

*UNL Faculty, Staff and Student Committee on GLBT Concerns Committee to review and make recommendations on GLBT concerns

Nonprofit Association of the Midlands NAM exists to increase member organizations' capacity to deliver programs and services efficiently and effectively in response to community needs.
