Students and teachers nationwide will observe the day in silence to echo the silence that LGBT and ally students face everyday. GLSEN is hosting the fourth annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Organizing Weekend, in recognition of the importance of collaborating with other groups, understanding the roots of organizing in social justice, and working outside of our schools. GLSEN is encouraging students and student clubs to co-organize activities with other social justice students and student-clubs.
