Ally Week
Students created Ally Week as a way to build upon the unifying work GSAs do across the country by encouraging people to be allies against anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Whether you belong to a GSA or not, Ally Week is the perfect time for you and your friends to sign the Ally Pledge.

No Name-Calling Week
This action planning day helps educators and youth plan events for No Name-Calling Week, an annual week of educational activities aimed at ending name-calling of all kinds and providing schools with the tools and inspiration to launch an on-going dialogue about ways to eliminate bullying in their communities. Dates: January 23-27, 2012.

The Day of Silence
This action planning day helps Gay-Straight Alliances and other groups of youth and educators organize an effective and meaningful Day of Silence in their schools. Participants share specific ideas about how to implement and gain support for the event in their schools and communities. The Day of Silence is a student-led day of action where those who support making anti-LGBT bias unacceptable in schools take a day-long vow of silence to recognize and protest the discrimination and harassment%97in effect, the silencing%97experienced by LGBT students and their allies. Date: April 20, 2012.
