EQUAL Empowerment Summit

Workshop for Students and Educators

Feb 27, 2010
EQUAL will be hosting its annual Empowerment Summit on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The location for the summit is Haag Hall on the campus of UMKC.

The EQUAL Empowerment Summit is an exciting day-long event for Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs), queer youth and straight allies, and educators across the Kansas City metro area.

During the EQUAL Empowerment Summit, participants will attend workshops, activities, and discussions while networking with GSAs and educators across the metro area. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Workshops will include Gender Deconstruction, Safe Sex, Religion, Colleges/Scholarships and many more! There will also be a track for educators as well as a track sponsored by Lawrence Transgender Resources.

Please note: While there is a $15 registration fee, EQUAL will never
turn anyone away for financial reasons. Our main goal is to make sure that you get to attend the EQUAL Empowerment Summit, so please indicate on the survey whether or not you will be paying the registration fee.
