GLSEN Hudson Valley Student Leaders

For the second summer in a row, GLSEN trained students from around the country on strategic action planning, coalition building, leadership skills, and up to date information on safe school policy and legislation. GLSEN Hudson Valley is extremely excited to have Marissa Allis returning as a Student Leader the 2010-2011 for school year and welcomes Ana Mosseri to our team. Read their bios below:

Ana Mosseri & Marissa Allis

Marissa and Ana will be building a team of student leaders from the area to:

Increase communication with and among GSAs;

Provide opportunities for students to meet, interact and learn from each other;

Encourage GSA involvement in the larger community;

Develop programs and strategies for working on safe school concerns;and

Identify freshmen and sophomore level students to provide leadership development

They will be reaching out to students, adults and organizations alike with ideas and projects to help make all schools in the Hudson Valley safe for ALL regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
