Spring 2008 GSA Summit

Students Prepare for the National Day of Silence
Apr 12, 2008

Students from Kingston, Onteora and Rondout Valley School Districts gathered at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center to prepare for the 2008 Day of Silence.

Students and volunteers worked throughout the day to create buttons, bracelets and pam cards to hand out during the Day of Silence and raise awareness about the silencing of LGBTQ youth everywhere.

Extra "starter" packets were also created for other area schools that were not in attendance. The packets were then mailed to the GSA Advisors at the schools to help inspire them to create their own give aways for the Day of Silence.
