SAFE (Schools Are For Everyone) Training

While there are many programs dedicated to the prevention of bullying, most do not specifically address the issues that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender(LGBT) youth face on a daily basis. In response, The Governor's Prevention Partnership, GLSEN Connecticut, The Anti-Defamation League, and True Colors, Inc. have come together to promote SAFE in Connecticut (Schools Are For Everyone).

SAFE OBJECTIVES

- Decrease the use of hurtful or exclusionary language and/or practices in your school.

- Intervene when witnessing anti-LGBT language, harassment and/or bullying.

- Serve as a resource and support, both for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning, and for administration and other staff.

For more information or to request the SAFE training in your school, please download the file to the right under resources and contact us.
