Small Grant Applications Available!GLSEN Connecticut is offering grants of up to $200 to students, staff, and teachers in Connecticut schools. These grants are intended to be spent on projects, events, or curriculum materials (including No Name-Calling Week kits) that will help to make schools safer for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
Possible projects include (but are certainly not limited to!) hosting a guest speaker at a school assembly, purchasing GLSEN's Lunchbox for staff training, providing refreshments at a Gay-Straight Alliance event, or giving students scholarships to attend an LGBT-related or educational conference. Grants are being awarded on a rolling basis. We want to hear about your successes and how the grant helped you accomplish your goals. Recipients will be asked to provide a short report on the event or project and receipts for all purchases. If you would like to apply for a small grant from GLSEN Connecticut, please download the application in the right column and submit by email to connecticut@chapters.glsen.org. |
