Alaskan Advocates for Safe Schools Legislation

Tonei Glavinic, a student leader for GLSEN in Alaska , and other students from the Safe Schools Advocacy Summit met with Representative Don Young (R-Alaska) and other Senators and Representatives or their staff in February.

As a result of these advocacy activities, Representative Young and Representative Nancy Boyda (D-KS) became co-sponsors of the Safe Schools Improvement Act.
